preview .htm vs .html

Hi!

If you change the extension of the templates to .htm so that all the generated HTML files have that extension, the CityDesk preview still tries to load index.html.

Is there a way to change this?

when you edit the template you have a text box where you insert the extension.  Change it from html to htm

Correct me if I'm wrong folks. I don't think you can make CityDesk automatically preview (or view) an index.htm file. Of course you can publish them and link to them just fine but when you hit that button, CityDesk will show you index.html every time.

I think you could make an index.html file and stick a redirect into it that points to index.htm.

Joel - yes, I did that...still looks for index.html.  Change the extension from .html to .htm and the preview no longer works right.

TK - looks like it, regardless of what you put, index.html is the thing it looks for.

Is this a bug?  I think it should be changed if at all possible.

It's a known issue from way back.

I also understand the issue: I have an existing site with .htm files that I want to convert to CityDesk without breaking any links.
