Including html files in articles

As it is not possible to edit article content directly using an external editor, I was wondering if it is possible to include an ordinary html file into an article using the {$ include "..." $} directive? This way, it would be possible to edit the html file using an external editor. I have tried this in different ways without success.

Let's say I have an article named MyArticle and an html file named MyArticleBody.html. I would like to put something like {$ include "MyArticleBody.html" $} as the only content in the article editor. Doesn't seem to work though.

Any suggestions?

Are you saying you want the html file to be stored outside of CityDesk?

I don't believe CityScript can access files outside of CityDesk, so that wouldn't work. You'd need SSI (server-side include) to do that, and your Web host would need to support it. If it does, then you can use "#include filename.html" in your HTML to reference that file (I think that's the correct syntax).
