The template that won't switch to HTML mode

It opens in HTML view. It switches to Normal view. *It crashes CityDesk every time I try to switch back to HTML view.

It contains a boatload of embedded tables but nothing else out of the ordinary, no scripts or anything.

I wonder what I might look for thatis  pushing the "switch to HTML view" over the edge.

tk,
Why don't you publish it as is, and run it through w3c validation.  Maybe some invalid html is confusing the heck out of the CD editor?

http://validator.w3.org/

You can either point to an html page on the web, or cut and paste the code into a form on that page to validate that it is or isn't properly formed html.

Thankyou Joel.  I did just that. It was misery but I did it.  CityDesk continued to choke on switching views until I guess I found the right error but ...

Once it stopped crashing during the view switch, it would not display one of the embedded tables.

I'm much better off now and have had a good lesson in validation.

nested tables get difficult to navigate I think.
