Change log makes automatic Last Modified.

I just had an idea I thought I'd share because it seems clever. (But don't most ideas seem clever to the person who comes up with them?)

I was thinking you could create a folder of tiny articles to act as a change log.  Such as "Added a new section to contain such and such."  Then on the index page you could use a simple loop to show the most recent one.

{$ foreach 1 x in (Changes) SortDescendBy .fileddate $}
Last modified on {$x.filedDate$}
{$next$}

This would display the date when your website was last updated.  Furthermore you could date could be a link to a page where you enumerate all the recent changes.

I haven't tried it yet, but it seems valid.

Cool!  That's very useful...

Maybe I'm stupid, but isn't this identical to "Another feature: versioning"?
